Dosages used in vitamin patches vary from oral counterparts.   They are intended to be absorbed rather than taken through oral consumption into the stomach, users see excellent results.

It is recommended due to the nature of the ingredient deck to apply in the morning as users have noted increased energy and then better sleep at the end of the day.  

Most users feel the energy benefits early on. Most see faster nail growth within weeks. After 4-6 weeks most users noticed less hair fall.  With continued use hair is healthier and longer.

Ashwagandha  10 mg

 

There is no established standardized dose of Ashwagandha but absorbed at 10 mg it is safe and well tolerated. Its efficacy for hair is a reason it is at the higher end of dosage percentage in patch form.

          Ashwagandha's antioxidants and anti-stress properties may help strengthen hair and reduce breakage.

         One study found that topical application of ashwagandha serum improved hair growth, density, and                      thickness.

          Ashwagandha's free radical scavenging properties may protect hair from environmental damage.


 

       Preventing hair loss
          Ashwagandha may help reduce hair loss caused by stress.


 

       Promoting melanin production
          Ashwagandha may help prevent early graying and promote melanin production, which gives hair its color.

 

       Reducing scalp irritation
          Ashwagandha's natural anti-inflammatory properties may help reduce scalp irritation and promote                        wound healing.

 

 

 

Saw Palmetto  8 mg

 

While no standard daily dose has been issued for Saw Palmetto, at 8 mg absorbed we believe it to be a crucial ingredient in patch form while safe and well tolerated.

 

Benefits:

       How it works
          Saw palmetto may help prevent hair loss by blocking the enzyme that converts testosterone into                            dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone linked to hair loss.

 

       Studies
          Some studies have shown that saw palmetto can improve hair quality, count, and density. A 2023 study                found that saw palmetto supplements improved hair growth, scalp appearance, and decreased hair fall in            people with androgenic alopecia.

 

L-Cysteine  5mg   

 

No standard dose is indicated for L-Cysteine but at 5 mg it is far under any dose that would cause side effects.  Between diet and supplementation 4.1 mg per kilogram of body weight is safe.  At 5mg absorbed, a baseline for better hair can be achieved.

●        Strengthening hair: L-Cysteine is a building block of keratin, a protein that makes up a large portion of                  hair and skin. L-Cysteine forms disulfide bridges that make keratin stronger and more rigid.
 

       Improving hair quality: L-Cysteine can improve hair quality and texture.
 

       Preventing hair loss: Clinical studies have shown that L-Cysteine can help prevent hair loss.
 

       Increasing hair shaft diameter: L-Cysteine can help increase the diameter of the hair shaft, resulting in                  thicker, fuller hair.
 

       Transporting essential minerals: L-Cysteine helps transport iron and zinc, which are important nutrients                 for hair regrowth.

 

       Combining with B-complex vitamins: L-Cysteine combined with B-complex vitamins may help promote               hair growth, especially during the telogen effluvium stage.

 

Zinc  4 mg

 

We use less than the recommended daily dose (50%) as too much Zinc has shown to increase in hair loss.  At 4 mg through the skin we are able to reach normal daily levels for hair benefits.

Trans-Resveratrol  800 mcg

 

Therapeutic dose range varies, but at 800 mcg taken through skin, hair is benefitted.

 

Benefits

       Stimulating hair growth
          Trans-Resveratrol can stimulate the growth of human dermal papilla cells (hDPCs) and promote the                      transition of hair follicles from the resting phase to the active growth phase.

 

       Improving hair density and thickness
          Trans-Resveratrol can help improve hair density and thickness by stimulating the anagen (growth) phase            and inhibiting the telogen (resting) phase of hair follicles.

 

       Lowering inflammation
          Trans-Resveratrol may support hair regrowth by lowering levels of inflammation in the body.

 

       Lowering androgen and fasting insulin levels High insulin levels can drive high androgen levels in                             women, which can contribute to hair loss. Trans-Resveratrol can help lower both androgen and fasting                 insulin levels.

 

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) 800 mcg

 

 

MSM is a  sulfur compound that may help with hair health in a number of ways,

       Sulfur supply
          MSM is a source of sulfur, which is needed for strong, healthy hair.

 

       Collagen and keratin production
          MSM helps produce collagen and keratin, which are proteins that are important for hair growth. Collagen            provides strength, while keratin makes hair less likely to break.

 

       Anti-inflammatory
          MSM can help reduce inflammation, which can damage hair follicles and lead to hair loss.

 

       Keratin bonds
          MSM may strengthen the bonds between keratin molecules in hair by donating sulfur to keratin.

 

Some studies have shown promising results for MSM and hair health, including:

       A study found that oral MSM supplementation improved the appearance and condition of hair and nails.
 

       Another study found that MSM powder applied topically may help treat alopecia, or hair loss, in mice.
 

       A third study found that MSM combined with other compounds improved skin health, including a slight              improvement in the appearance of hair.

 

Biotin 720 mcg

 

The adequate intake (AI) of biotin for adults is 30 micrograms (mcg) per day. 

As Biotin is safe on the system we bring 2400% of the normal daily dosage to promote healthy hair.

 

Magnesium Citrate 200 mcg

 

Orally, Magnesium Citrate is recommended at 250 MG.  At 200 MCG absorbed, the desired daily level for hair health is achieved.

 

We use Magnesium Citrate due to studies that magnesium citrate is absorbed better than magnesium oxide and magnesium chelate.  Also, the micron size of Magnesium Citrate easily penetrates the skin for excellent absorption.

 

 

Folate  200 mcg

 

An oral maximum dose of 400 MCG is daily max. At 200 MCG absorbed, health benefits for hair are delivered.

 

 

Vitamin A.  200 mcg  

 

Absorbed amount leaves room for extra from diet and supplements but at a level safe for hair. We believe conservative amounts are better for hair benefits.

 

Both too little and too much vitamin A can cause hair loss:

       Vitamin A deficiency
          Can cause hair to become dry, brittle, and thin, and can increase daily shedding. It can also prolong the                regrowth period after hair loss. Vitamin A deficiency can be caused by restrictive diets or inflammatory                  bowel disorders. Doctors can diagnose a deficiency with a blood test, and vitamin A supplements or                      vitamin A-rich foods can help restore levels.


 

       Excess vitamin A
          Can cause hair to become thin and can lead to hair loss from other parts of the body, such as the                            eyebrows, eyelashes, underarms, and pubic area. Excess vitamin A can also cause headaches and liver                    damage. Excess vitamin A can be caused by taking too many supplements or eating too many fortified                foods. The upper limit of vitamin A that the body can tolerate is 10,000 IU

 

Iodine. 120 mcg

 

Makes up 80% of daily leading to excellent totals for full days intake in patch form.

 

Benefits

       Hair growth: Iodine can help prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.

 

       Hair strength: Iodine can help restore hair and eliminate damage.

 

       Hair shine: Iodine can help make hair shinier by promoting the production of sebum, a natural oil that                  coats hair strands.

 

       Scalp health: Iodine can help prevent and treat scalp infections, which can lead to hair loss and damage.

 

       Dryness: Iodine can help prevent dry, brittle hair, which can be a sign of iodine deficiency.

 

 

Vitamin D 32 mcg

 

As 20 MCG is recommended minimum daily dosage daily, at 32 MCG absorbed we are over the recommended dosage at 160%

 

More can be taken of this particular supplement if user chooses as it is safe in higher doses but not at the expense of the benefit of the other ingredients needed in the patch.

Stress can affect Vitamin D metabolism, hence the addition of Ashwahandha and Magnesium to maximize processing of dose.

 

 

Selenium 80 MCG

 

Adult recommendation is 45-55 mcg per day

At 145% of the daily dosage orally, the patch gives an excellent dose of selenium. Well under the upper limits of 400 mcg a day to keep it safe and balanced.

 

Benefits

       Dandruff: Selenium can help treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis because it kills the fungus that                    causes dandruff. Selenium sulfide is often found in dandruff shampoos and other hair care products.
 

       UV protection: Selenium may protect hair from UV radiation.
 

●        Free radicals: Selenium can neutralize free radicals, which can damage hair follicles.
 

       Chemotherapy: Selenium may help decrease hair loss in people undergoing chemotherapy.

       Selenium may stimulate hair growth. It's essential for the production of thyroid hormones, which                            regulate hair growth.


Too much selenium has been known to lead to hair loss which is why our patch is designed for a gentle approach.

 

Vitamin B6 15 mcg 

  

Vitamin B6 has an extremely small micron size for excellent delivery. 

 

 

Benefits

       Protein processing: Vitamin B6 helps process protein, which is essential for hair growth.

 

       Amino acid delivery: Vitamin B6 helps hair cells get the amino acids they need to make protein.

 

●        Hormone balance: Vitamin B6 may help balance hormone activity, which could help prevent thinning                  hair.

Vitamin E 2.8 mg

 

1/5 the recommended daily oral dose. With a small micron size, Vitamin E at 2.8 mg is an excellent level for absorption.
